Today, the e|Drumline.com Archaeological Survey Team, stationed in Bethlehem, made a significant discovery pertaining to the history of drumming.

Over the course of the last 12 years the EAS Team has been actively searching for the drum of the famous Christmas Drummer Boy. Countless leads have been followed with a number of promising sites uncovered in recent weeks.

On December 23, 2003, research assistant Bernard Lee uncovered a map detailing the true location of the drum.

After securing rights to the site, the EAS team began its excavation procedures.

This morning, 7:25 local time, our team recovered the drum.

“It has often been thought that the little drummer boy died of natural causes, however, today’s discovery leads us to believe otherwise.” Professor Drumouski

Uncovered with the drum was a flag pole pierced through its head. An inscription on the pole reads “die drummer boy, die.”

“If I were asked to speculate, I would have to say it is likely that our drummer boy was the victim of a horrible break up.” Research Assistant Lee, “We see this kind of thing throughout history. Often times, there are battles for dominance among those carrying the flag and those carrying the drum. When the emotions of a romantic relationship go bad, it is often the drummer that must take the brunt of the pain.”
