In a recent letter to edrumline.com, Style Plus confirmed the demise of their Secret Rocket-Powered Marching Footwear Program. World Drumline News (the only source to bring you this story) first heard rumors of this situation back in mid February when an e|Drumline informant tipped us off.
Citing a growing list of problems, including design flaws and safety concerns, Style Plus management saw no alternative but to end this innovative program.
“Our researchers couldn’t find the perfect fuel ratios. The potential for explosions was too great for us to justify a continuance of the program.”
Sources inside the company told WDN that an expansion of the Solar-Powered Footwear program is under consideration.
